So the chinese 在zai is hi (maybe hai) in Cantonese?
Makes me wonder if there's a soundshift from Z to H.🤔

I’m an old boy struggling with my hearing! How do the older generations deal with the tonal variations of the same word???

It wasn't meant to be naughty. I swear! ✋️It's such a complicated language I honestly wondered what "Hi" could mean. I speak zero Cantonese, until now. 😂
