Can someone propose a law that makes these votes straight forward, so those who aren’t as invested at least have a basic understanding of what they are voting yes/no on?

Of all the questions the most important ones are, vote no on eight, and vote yes on nine.

7 is a no. their min size is too small and just leads to those towns of copy/paste homes built with no yards. they need to take another stab at it with a more reasonable size

Question 7 is a no for me. IMO, The MBTA housing law only benefited developers and made housing more expensive. This law is for square footage allowed to build and does not dictate the price of “starter homes”.. the issue at hand is we need AFFORDABILITY in Massachusetts housing, not more units. I’m not economist so I don’t know how to make this work, but passing another law state wide is too overreaching for me.

7 is technically about housing but they’re trying to hide the fact that it would undercut the law that allows cities/towns to decide on lot sizes and would allow the state to decide for everyone. I agree we have a housing crisis in cities, and this needs to be addressed by the city/town but not by the state. Mass has so many diverse towns it wouldn’t make sense to make an umbrella decision for everyone!!
