And somehow, these catchy little sayings are being treated as profound psychological wisdom. Since when did walking away become a sign of strength, and working through difficulties become a sign of weakness? Relationships are complicated. People disappoint us. Feelings get hurt. Disagreements happen. That’s called LIFE. But we’ve created a culture where avoiding uncomfortable conversations is celebrated, accountability is optional, and cutting someone off is marketed as empowerment. Not every inspirational quote is wisdom. Not every viral statement is backed by research. And not every difficult relationship needs to end. Sometimes real strength means staying, communicating, forgiving, and doing the uncomfortable work of repairing a relationship. Stop allowing social media slogans to dictate how you treat the people in your life. Think critically. Question what you’re reading. And remember, relationships are built through effort, not catchy quotes. ❤️ Coach Shawn Email me: [email protected] #shawnkhowerton #parentalalienation #divorce #narcissisism #estrangement
