if you really want a secret room, obviously aside from not making a how to video, is to install a fish eye lens camera on the bookshelf side and a monitor inside the secret room so you don't give away the secret exiting the hidden room

I don't like how the boom sits beyond the wood. It doesn't look normal. do you really need a hinge on the book. Otherwise cool idea.

Put a tension spring / foam strip on the inside for it keeps pressure on the door for doesn't look like it'll bounce back-and-forth and give the visual away
