I’m from Hawai’i and not trying to bring down the mood but you will have to send back the sand from islands. EVERY time someone takes things from the islands even something as innocent as sand ends up with bad luck. So just mail it back to the islands and you should be okay if you can’t bring it back in person. No one can blame you because it’s very innocent and you didn’t know.
