@charathoner: American Women podium draught is over! Jess McClain finished 2nd at NYC Marathon 🔥🥈 no quit in her! 💪🏼#runtok #runcoach #nycmarathon @Jess McClain

DanayChipper :

Congrats to Sheila Chepkirui the first place winner

Heidi :

Yes, congrats to the winner! BUT Jess is the first American woman to podium in over a decade, and she works a 9-5 job! She’s an icon!!

Sam :

Giving credit to THIS woman is not discrediting the winner! 😩 my gosh people… let fans of hers be excited for HER.

journeytoprovider :

“Can’t outgrit” and then 2nd place are hilarious captions 😂

Mary | Motherhood In Motion :

SHE IS THAT GIRL

livandlouie22 :

I’m confused - why aren’t we congratulating the winner ? lol 👀

maiaintheskaia :

Sheila chepkirui can 🥇 but great job to this lady

itsa_dilemmakay :

well technically someone can! She came in 2nd but all these women are extraordinary in their sport ✨⚡️

mdc :

I don't get the comments in this thread.. This post is about how she chased down the runner in second and also made up over 3 minutes on the leader in the last 1.4 miles. She pushed so hard she not only passed the runner in 2nd, she also got within 6 seconds of the winner. The definition of grit

G. :

Congrats to Jess McClain the first American to podium in over a decade

nataliepatch :

She’s a beast 🏃‍♀️

Judy Sanchez Bishop :

Absolutely amazing!! I truly feel bad that your nice post has turned into a race issue it’s like people can’t read. ITS THE 1ST “AMERICAN” THAT MADE THE PODIUM AN OVER A DECADE!! It’s not about 1st place or her skin color. She is also not a professional runner is what I’m reading so that is a even a bigger accomplishment💕

Ms.Bee 🐝 :

Congratulations all 3 of them !!!!!!!!!!!

aloha_fineapple :

these comments are all over the place. we all just need to practice kindness and celebrate Jess since that is what this video is about and leave the poo behavior for something else. 💯✨

DANI :
