@cgtneurope: The inaugural CMG World Robot Mountain-Climbing Competition kicks off on Monday, November 2 at Mount Tai in east China's Shandong Province. The course stretches from Hongmen to Zhongtianmen, covering 3,100 steps and an elevation gain of 600 meters. So, how are these cyber competitors preparing for the challenge? The robot dog is equipped with a LiDAR sensor that emits infrared laser beams to scan the terrain, identifying steps, rocks, trees and other obstacles. The data is then converted into a 3D point cloud map, helping the robot navigate the terrain and choose the best route. So can these robotic climbers make it to the top. #CMG #China #Robot #mountainclimbing
