When I started Chronic UTI treatment in 2022 after four years of daily UTI symptoms, there was no specific instruction manual, I could not just pop to my GP for advice, they didn’t even believe I had an infection after becoming 2 years antibiotic free I made the decision to dedicate this account to telling YOU how I did it, and this time I’m telling you my flare protocol from the DEPTHS of Chronic UTI treatment… and what I do differently (because we keep it real around here) Context: the medication I took on Chronic UTI treatment was long term full dose antibiotics and Hiprex What I did 👇 • increase my antibiotics and/or Hiprex • sometimes I would do this again if the flare was particularly bad • be mindful of bladder triggers, if my flare was really bad, I might abstain from trigger activities for a few days (e.g. sx) Although I don’t regret anything, here’s what I do differently, because none of us are perfect⬇️ • Consider flare dosing Hiprex only before antibiotics, to prevent thrush. I did this further on in treatment when symptoms weren’t as bad. • Keep on top of vaginal maintenance more. The link between the vagina and bladder is underappreciated. Nothing is perfect, but we’re still here and thriving. And if you’re not… You could be soon. ✨ Life looks a hell of a lot different to 8 years ago. If you want to learn in a couple of minutes, what took me eight years to learn, stick around to break the UTI loop 🔁 ❤️ #chronicuti #utiremedy #recurringutis #chronicutitreatment #recurrentutitreatment
