Kampere fought a battle that many of us may never fully understand. Like a soldier on the front line, he carried so much pain, stress and emotional struggles, often in silence. Perhaps he felt he had to be strong and face everything on his own, even when he needed someone to lean on. Maybe he wanted to reach out for help but found it difficult to express what he was going through. Deep down, he was a father who loved his children and dreamed of giving them a better life, one better than the struggles he had experienced. He wanted to see them succeed and have opportunities he may never have had himself. Sadly, life did not turn out the way he had hoped. Sometimes, the people who appear silent are fighting battles we know nothing about. May his story remind us to be kinder, check on one another and never underestimate the pain someone might be carrying. Rest peacefully, Kampere.
