On The Breakfast Club, he said Swift called him “out of the blue.” She told him she and her friends had made a routine to “Hot in Herre” the night before. Then she asked if he would fly to Houston to perform at one of her two shows there. Nelly said Swift told him she did not have a big budget. He recalled her saying she would send her plane, get him a room, and offer about $50,000. “I said, ‘Can you put that in a McDonald’s bag?’” Nelly said. “But I would’ve did it for free.” He said Swift sent her private jet to pick up him and his children in St. Louis. After he performed for just three minutes, he said, someone tossed him a McDonald’s bag with $50,000 in it. She also got them the presidential suite at a hotel next to the stadium. But Nelly said they never saw it. They stayed for the rest of the concert and flew home right after. Nelly said he performed “Hot in Herre.” But reports from the show, in November 2011 on the Speak Now Tour, say the two sang his song “Just a Dream” together. Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a rep for Swift for comment. Nelly and his wife, Ashanti, were also guests at Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce this year. “Nobody had their phone,” he said.
