@davesg1rl: Well, my beautiful flock, we’ve officially survived another week, said goodbye to October, and welcomed November with cooler temperatures, rainy skies, and one very PINK flamingo! 🤣🦩 And yes, that’s me, spreading my wings and showing off a little flamingo attitude! Because sometimes life is serious enough, and you’ve just got to put on a ridiculous pink costume and have some FUN! This past week has been quite the emotional roller coaster. From kindness shared with friends and neighbors, to creating a glowing Halloween pumpkin, to celebrating the one-year anniversary of my breast cancer surgery yesterday. There have been smiles, laughter, tears, memories, and reminders of just how much life can change in 365 days. And through it all, I’ve learned something important. Life doesn’t have to be perfect to still have beautiful moments. Sometimes those moments come from a simple act of kindness, a conversation with a neighbor, a little creativity, or laughing so hard at yourself that you forget your troubles for a while. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, my journey continues. There are still unanswered questions and challenges ahead, but there’s also love, laughter, hope, and plenty of art waiting to be created. And while November may be bringing chilly air and rainy days, it certainly isn’t going to dampen this flamingo’s feathers! So as we begin this new month, I want to remind everyone to take care of themselves, spread a little kindness, and find something to smile about, even on the grayest days. And remember, breast cancer awareness doesn’t stop just because October is over. Keep listening to your body and taking care of your health. Here’s to a new month, new adventures, new creations, and hopefully a few less surprises! Although knowing my life, I probably shouldn’t say that too loudly! 😂 Stay warm, stay kind, stay colorful, and never be afraid to spread those wings!
