I had something like this except it was someone from a nearby college come in and pull me from class to do a project with them and play games then a few weeks later go to said college to present the project. It happened two years in a row and I still have no clue what it was to this day

Idk about yall but GATE stood for Gifted And Talented Education program where I was from… and it was for kids who were above average in their class. I was a part of those classes and I spent 2/3 of my school day in a middle school when I was only in the 3rd & 4th grade.
