@ufc5.cal: There’s been a bit of a controversy last night with main event of Moiciano vs Nolan. Renato had accumulated a good amount of control time on the back body lock and many people think he was working towards a submission as he typically tries to in those positions, however, the ref stood them up which technically lead to the damage Nolan accumulated on Moiciano with strikes that then lead to a finish. In my humble opinion and to be transparent with you all, going into this fight I felt like Moiciano might’ve been the winner- but not with ease, usually guys who haven’t fought high level guys and have only fought lower level comp in the ufc for a streak of fights end up losing when make that jump in competition. I personally feel like you should never take a fighter off someone’s back or full mount, we have seen Moiciano and other fighters AT A HIGHER LEVEL do this many times so I just find it to be inconsistent and bad business to and for Moiciano. However I don’t want to take away from Tom Nolan, he’s a good fighter and I’m happy to see him win and this circumstance is NOT his fault in the slightest.
