Most of you I've never met, but here you are, like friends I was meant to find... you've helped keep me afloat on days I feel like I'm drowning. To hear from so many too who have been in these shoes no one wants to wear... my heart goes out to you so truly. May we all wrap each other up in love, good thoughts, prayers and encouragement today, please. This was on my heart this morning. For my middle child. It was on that day known simply as March 7, 1992, that this crazy world got the chance to meet sassy and beautiful you. We held you when you took your first breath, and again as you took your last, the 34 years in between weren't supposed to go so fast. The years in between seemed to fly by but will forever live in our hearts, from the very last that was so hard, back to the day your world did start. I think about that dash we hear that we live on between the years, and yours simply was not long enough, there should have been more decades of years. But here we are without you now, it still just doesn't seem real, some days it hurts so deeply, yet some days we just can't feel. We long for your laughter, your crazy phone calls, a chance to hug or to see your face, our world is just not the same anymore without you in this place... We will never be the family we were, things can't return to the same, we have no choice but to be different, but we will never not call your name.
