@mayadeenenglish: Iran "will not wait for the first missiles to strike" before launching its response if it determines that an attack is imminent, Professor Mohammad Marandi said on Saturday’s episode of The Grand Standoff: Iran and the World on Al Mayadeen. Explaining his understanding of the remarks by Iran’s Armed Forces chief of staff, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Marandi pointed to possible indicators such as aircraft taking to the air or large numbers of aerial refueling planes accompanying them. "As soon as we see beyond a reasonable doubt that this is a serious operation against Iran, we will not wait for the missiles to strike the cities or the schools or the hospitals," he said.
