@inventionontt: Original Video Credit: IG/oleg1988gera Instead of feeding a furnace with logs, coal, or pellets, an operator loads an entire bale of straw into a large biomass boiler. The tightly packed agricultural material is pushed toward the combustion chamber, where intense heat begins breaking it down and releasing energy. These systems offer an alternative way to heat large spaces, including agricultural greenhouses, using material left over from crop production. Straw contains stored chemical energy from the plants that produced it. Inside the boiler, controlled combustion releases that energy as heat, which is transferred through a heat exchanger to water or another heating medium. The heated fluid can then circulate through pipes to warm greenhouses or other buildings. SPEKA straw-fired systems are designed to handle bulky bales, reducing the need to process agricultural residues into smaller fuel pellets before burning. Straw is produced in enormous quantities during grain harvesting, and portions not needed for soil management, livestock bedding, or other uses can become a valuable source of fuel. Modern biomass boilers can achieve thermal efficiencies approaching 80–90% under suitable operating conditions, although performance depends on the equipment, fuel moisture, and combustion settings. While burning straw still produces carbon dioxide and air pollutants, using sustainably sourced agricultural residues can reduce dependence on fossil fuels when managed with appropriate emissions controls. #shorts #Science #education #learn #invention

Hay is the most inefficient way to provide heat. That loose bail packed bail is gone the moment he got done cranking the handle tight.

For it to take 2 minutes to burn lol. Straw burns hot and fast we’ve lost a stack before that took 30 mins to burn over 120 bales completely

Cornstalk bales, maybe could be thought of as waste, but even then if you regularly harvest them you’ll have to spend more on fertilizer to keep the soil healthy.
