@sarahjess.hair: Your dimensional brunette shouldn’t need a full color appointment every time you come into the salon. 🤎 One of my favorite things about creating soft, lived-in brunettes is how beautifully they grow out when the color is done intentionally. When we first create your dimensional brunette, we’re strategically placing highlights and lowlights to add movement, brightness, and depth while keeping everything soft and blended. But here’s what a lot of people don’t realize: you don’t need more highlights every time your color starts to feel a little dull. For this appointment, we skipped the foils completely and focused on refreshing her gloss. A gloss helps bring richness back into the hair, adjust any unwanted warmth, enhance shine, and keep the overall color looking fresh without creating unnecessary lightness. And because her original dimension was placed with her natural grow-out in mind, we didn’t need to go back in and add more highlights. This is why I love creating customized, low-maintenance color. My goal isn’t to have you sitting in my chair for a full highlight every 8 weeks. It’s to create a color that works with your natural hair, your lifestyle, and how often you actually want to visit the salon. For many of my dimensional brunette clients, we can alternate between larger color appointments and simple gloss refreshes, depending on how their hair is fading and growing out. The result? Healthier hair, less unnecessary lightening, and beautiful dimension that lasts. Good color shouldn’t just look beautiful the day you leave the salon. It should be designed to grow out beautifully, too. If you’re a brunette who wants dimension without the commitment of constant highlights, a soft, lived-in brunette might be exactly what you’re looking for. #DimensionalBrunette #LivedInColor #BrunetteHair #LowMaintenanceHair #bayareahairstylist
