When you're ready to study the nature of duality, you'll notice hints that singularity is only one aspect of God's design. While singularity holds its unique place, it is not a complete framework. Look back at creation: God created Adam and Eve, not just one individual. Why not only Adam? He also made two great lights—the greater to govern the day and the lesser for the night. Why not just one light? There's interdependence even with water and land; water finds its resting place on land. And while land may seem to exist independently of water, dig deep enough, and you'll often find water beneath. God Himself is one, yet He presents Himself as a Trinity, demonstrating unity within multiplicity. What does the Trinity reveal? The answer is collaboration! Singularity has its place, but duality carries a significant purpose in God's design. The Hermetic principle of polarity, from the Kybalion, states,
