Pearl’s story is a reminder that sometimes the behaviour we see in a horse is not the problem itself, but a way of telling us that something is wrong. He was in pain, and we failed to recognise it early enough. A broken saddle caused discomfort that affected his relationship with humans and his willingness to be ridden. It took time to understand him, to rebuild his confidence and to show him that he could feel safe with us again. There is no shortcut to earning a horse’s trust. No technique, no equipment and no amount of training can replace patience, empathy and the willingness to listen. Today, for the first time, Pearl gets to experience this kind of freedom again. Not because we taught him to obey, but because we gave him the time and space to feel safe. May we never forget that horses are not here to serve our dreams. We are here to protect theirs. 🤍 . . . . #horses #equestrian #fyp #caballos #horse
