Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has told party supporters that he knows the identities of individuals who allegedly infiltrated the organisation while working with South Africa’s State Security Agency (SSA). Malema made the revelation on Saturday, 31 October 2026, while addressing thousands of EFF supporters at the party’s final Tshela Thupa election rally at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. His remarks come amid fresh revelations surrounding an alleged R12 million intelligence operation, known as Project Mayibuye, which reportedly targeted the EFF and members of the Fees Must Fall movement during former president Jacob Zuma’s administratio Which Country Was Holding The World Power Before The United States Took Over? According to reports, the SSA allegedly used public funds to place individuals inside the EFF to gather intelligence, monitor the organisation's activities and influence some members to return to the African National Congress (ANC). Malema told supporters that he had recently received a list containing the names of people allegedly involved in the operation. The EFF leader said he knew their full names, the positions they previously occupied within the organisation and the positions some of them currently hold. However, he made it clear that he had no intention of publicly releasing the list or exposing the individuals concerned. Malema reportedly said he had placed the document in a safe and would not revisit it unless those implicated voluntarily came forward to explain their involvement. He also indicated that he did not want to destroy people's careers by publicly identifying them. The allegations are connected to ongoing court proceedings involving two former SSA officials, Patrick Mshothola and Thulani Dlomo, who face charges relating to the alleged fraudulent withdrawal of R12 million in public funds. The money was reportedly intended to finance Project Mayibuye, an operation that allegedly involved infiltrating the EFF and monitoring its political activities. The Gauteng High Court in Pretoria recently granted the EFF access to portions of court transcripts and other relevant documents relating to the alleged operation. Evidence presented during the proceedings has raised questions about whether the intelligence operation had a legitimate national security purpose. During testimony, a former SSA official reportedly told the court that there was no indication that the EFF posed a national security threat at the time. The allegations have also revived broader concerns about the alleged politicisation of South Africa's intelligence structures during the Zuma administration. Meanwhile, Malema used his address to remind supporters of the EFF's political battles, including its opposition to corruption and its involvement in the Fees Must Fall movement. He argued that the alleged infiltration was intended to weaken the organisation and undermine its ability to challenge those in power. The allegations surrounding Project Mayibuye remain subject to legal proceedings, and the individuals implicated are entitled to due process. Malema's latest remarks have nevertheless brought renewed attention to the controversy, particularly because he claims to possess information identifying people who allegedly worked against the organisation from within. #viral #newsong #breakingnews
