I just want to share with you that you are not alone. I found out my best friend was killed at school over the intercom with everyone else in a very similar situation.💗 Thought to myself the other day how sad and terrible that entire thing was. I miss her all of the time!

Just a few months after we graduated my friend went missing. They checked everywhere in the house except for the basement. And when they did, it was too late. I’m so sorry for your loss ♥️People don’t talk about this kind of grief enough. It’s an unbearable pain. I cried every single day for at least a year. Sobbing. I changed my life around after that. Started advocating for mental health services at my college. Because I was once also the person who contemplated taking their life. But if I had, I would’ve missed every single milestone. I hadn’t even experience the best day of my life yet. Anyways, if anyone is reading this- this is your sign to stay and keep fighting. ♥️

Lost my very close friend that I danced with as well when we’re were 15. My dance school forced me to perform a week later. Our school experiences the week after are so similar it gave me chills. I also had to quit dance after she passed because it was so painful. It’s been almost 8 years and I still don’t talk about it. Sending so much love💜

My freshman year of hs I had a class with a girl and one day she looked sad in the restroom and I smiled at her the next day we found out she committed… her mom was also a teacher there

My principal was shot by her brother and then he was shot by her husband… we had a candlelight and she will always be remembered but a traumatic childhood experience for sure

Right before our next to last football game Senior year (it was November 1, 1996) we heard there was a fatal wreck with students right after the Pep Rally. We got to the game and found out it was 4 of our Cheerleaders and our Head Cheerleader was the fatality. Band & Cheer were close and I had been in school with Amy since Kindergarten. The weeks after were completely surreal, depressing and made a lot of us face our own mortality for the first time ever. Its been 30 years now and I still think about Amy constantly. RIP Amy Jeanette Hall- we love you always ❤️

I feel this post a lot. I had two sisters pass my junior year and i had known one of them since middle school and actually been friends with her throughout the years even though we weren’t super close and had also done dance with her sister. they died in a tragic car accident together. it was devastating and tbh i don’t think i could handle my emotions at 17 either. I went to their wake and everything but even now It hits me at random moments that ill never see them in passing, wont ever get to hear about their lives again. death is a crazy thing. my sister passed in 2017 and i still have yet to grasp that. grief is so different for everyone and it can impact people who weren’t even super close to eachother. RIP Sophia and Nicole and RIP your friends. It’s so important to keep their memories alive.

we lost five students at my high school in the span of one year. i will never forget the feeling of going to school the day after someone died. i hope no one else has to experience that.
