@thisbadasslife: Haley Stevens lost the Michigan Senate primary to Abdul El-Sayed in August. Today, two days before the election, she walked into Perfecting Church in Detroit on Mike Rogers' arm and endorsed Trump's candidate for U.S. Senate. Her own chief of staff and communications director quit within hours. That should tell you everything. I'm a white woman, and I'm saying this out loud because we need to hear it from each other: this is exactly why marginalized communities don't trust white liberal women. Our solidarity too often lasts right up until it costs us something. She lost to a Muslim man, got her feelings hurt, and decided a Republican Senate was an acceptable price for her bruised ego. That's not principle. That's a tantrum with a press release. Black, brown, Muslim and Arab voters in Michigan have watched this pattern for generations. Stevens just handed them another receipt. And she did it in a Black church, talking about Black-owned businesses, while backing the guy endorsed by the man who's spent years attacking those same communities. So here's what we do about it. Michigan, Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Vote for Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate. Bring your mom, your roommate, your coworker, the neighbor who keeps saying they'll "probably" vote. Check your polling place today. This seat could decide control of the Senate, and Haley Stevens is betting you'll stay home mad. Prove her wrong. Not in Michigan?
