@capitaldance: "How long will this boom boom boom music be around?" 😂   Sure seems like it's stuck around for quite a while hey @Armin van Buuren 👀   AVB's full in-depth chat with @mistajam is out now on YouTube & @Global Player. #arminvanbuuren #avb #dj #trance #interview

Had this conversation with a friend yesterday evening. My mum told me in the to late '80s. " that's just a noise. it's not even music. you'll grow out of it" I'm 55 and I still listen to dance music genres. Not just the old stuff. Current 😁🥰

Darkness𒉭 :

I started listening to Armin, Cosmic Gate, Gareth Emery, Paul Van Dyk, W&W, Shogun, and many more DJ’s in 2011! These are who got me into the EDM genre

Faykabe :

I remember being a 11. robbing my brothers tapes listening to 90s house music walking to school listening to it.. i was the odd one out as everyone else loved goth music 😂

For all who like this vibe🫶91

Szonikx :

That’s why the DJs of that generation are true legends. They genuinely loved what they did, lived for the music and the crowd. Unlike many of today’s DJs, who seem more interested in playing Tomorrowland just to post a picture with fireworks and a massive crowd on Instagram. It's not about the music anymore, it's about the photo.

Ed Rodriguez Jr :

@Armin van Buuren so people were asking you when you started DJing, in 96, when dance music, spawned from house music, which started 15+ years earlier was going to last?🙄😒 Suuuurrrrreeeee buddy. 🤦‍♂️
