@alexandramindfulness: When life feels uncertain, we often fall into familiar patterns without even realizing it. We overthink because we want certainty. We try to control because not knowing feels uncomfortable. We compare because we’re looking for reassurance. We avoid because facing something feels difficult. We judge ourselves because we think we should be handling things differently. And sometimes, we forget something important: Even when we can’t control what life brings us, we have some choice in how we meet it. These patterns aren’t character flaws. They’re human responses. Often, they’re ways we’ve learned to navigate discomfort, protect ourselves, or make sense of the world. But familiar doesn’t always mean helpful. The practice isn’t about eliminating these patterns or getting everything right. It’s about becoming aware of what’s happening, meeting ourselves with a little more compassion, and creating enough space to respond differently. Instead of automatically reacting, we can pause and ask: What am I experiencing right now? What might I need? Is this response moving me toward what matters most? We don’t need to change everything overnight. Sometimes, the most meaningful change begins with noticing. 🍂 Notice. Get curious. Choose. Which of these six patterns do you recognize most in yourself? #Mindfulness #SelfCompassion #LifeBalance #Overthinking #PersonalGrowth
