@iconsxicons: Ace Ventura was the first of three Jim Carrey hits in 1994, followed by The Mask in July and Dumb and Dumber in December. Together they earned about $550 million and made him the year's second-biggest box office star, behind only Tom Hanks. Carrey shared the screenplay credit and was allowed to improvise, which is where much of Ace's strutting and squawking came from. Courteney Cox made the film just months before Friends premiered that fall. Sean Young came in already famous from Blade Runner and No Way Out. Tone Lōc was best known for "Wild Thing," a No. 2 hit in 1988, and Dan Marino had already set the NFL record with 5,084 passing yards in 1984. Thirty-two years on, one tall hairdo and a Hawaiian shirt are all it takes to bring that winter back. 📸✨ 🎬 Ace Ventura: Pet Detective 5-Lead Timeline Summary (1994 Release vs 2026 Status) • Sean Young [Lt.
