At least 2x per week, but more often if they’ve been in their cage a lot that week (vs out with me around the house and on their stands). I use the packing paper from Home Depot/Lowe’s because one sheet is almost the exact correct size for the bottom of the cage.

Get rid of the wire great they can fall on it and hurt their legs. And I use newspaper and I change it every couple of days. I put many many layers so that I just lift off the top layer.

I clean mine every few days….deep clean once a month, my girl is barely on the bottom so I’m not worried of the wire floor

I have a washable fabric mat that I made with cotton. I will use paper towels underneath their preferred resting spots to catch droppings though.

I use puppy pad in my cages. My birds dont chew them but I know some do.

okay, your supposed to be changing the trays out everyday to monitor poops, because poops can show signs of illness, daily tray cleans, one a week deep clean is what is supposed to be recommended.

i put a layer of newspaper on the first metal. tray and and a second layer on top. i change the top layer of newspaper every 2-3 days :)
