My character is 3 inches tall. 3. Inches. How the hell was she able to kill as many creatures as she did lol. She had to ride a mouse to get 20 movement speed!

My Kobold rolled a 6 in intimidation on a Dragonborn paladin who he hated for being tall (and other backstory reasons related to dragonborns)

I named my charcter willow the unlucky. The most unlucky bard to ever exist and so far I've rolled accurately. 🤣 My highest perception check was an 8. 🤣 I rolled a performance check and got a 13. I have a +8 in performance 🤣🤣 Its actually kinda perfect. My character backstory is they had a falling out with tymora the goddess of luck. Its actually so funny and working out perfectly imo. 😅

This is in part why I, as the DM, allow certain things to just happen. If it does not affect the plot, and won’t significantly change things, I allow it to go the way the player describes it unless the ask to roll for it. Then they are at the mercy of the dice. However, I will have them roll for anything that plays a part in the plot. For example, I have a player who is a giant humanoid bird and likes to climb roofs or randomly fly. I typically allow him to do this a will, and he suffers or succeeds with whatever consequences result in his actions. He plays his character how he wants and gets into the roleplaying. However, if they players wan to investigate or search for things, they have to actually roll. A combat is also obviously roll based.

worse I came up with a character that was not super experienced so I was like yeah, let them fail, they'll grow. But the dice took that to heart and went to the extreme. (One session I litterally did not succeed on a single dice roll, another the average of all my rolls that session was 4.7 🫠)
