An off-duty Alaska Airlines pilot, described by neighbors as a 'lovely & fantastic' married father-of-2, is facing 83 counts of attempted murd3r after he tried to shut down the engines of a plane he was traveling on, authorities say. Passengers on-board the nearly-doomed flight said they were told Joseph David Emerson, 44, had a 'mental breakdown' before he allegedly tried to engage a fire suppression system that would shut off the engines while mid-air. Just hours after the details of the horror at 30,000 feet emerged, Emerson's neighbors said that the suspect lives with his wife, Sarah Stretch & 2 young sons in a close-knit residential block in Pleasant Hill, California, in the rolling hills east of San Francisco. Nobody answered the door of his $1.2 million, 4 bedroom home on Monday. A light-hearted sign on the doorstep reads, 'Free Flying Lessons. Inquire Inside,' Another reads, 'Trick or Treat,' as the family-oriented neighborhood gears up for Halloween. Neighbors describe Emerson as a happy, playful dad, a friendly man with no issues they knew about. He would play basketball with his kids on a court he built for them in the back yard & invited neighbors over for parties. Emerson was traveling in the jump seat of the Embraer 175 plane, which took off from Everett in suburban Seattle at 5.23pm on Sunday. On top of the homicid3 charges, he faces an additional 83 counts of reckless endangerment & 1 count of endangering an aircraft. The plane had been bound for San Francisco, but had to be diverted to Portland International Airport amid the cockpit struggle, when crew members allegedly managed to 'subdue' Emerson. Neighbors also had positive things to say about Emerson's wife, describing her as a doting mother & a swimming coach, who taught physical education at a local community college. Aubrey Gavello, who was on board the plane, said a flight attendant told passengers that Emerson suffered a mental breakdown. She said passengers were not immediately alerted to what Alaska Airlines called the 'security threat', until a flight attendant told them over the speaker that there was 'an emergency situation & the plane needed to land immediately'. Gavello said they were later told it was a 'medical emergency' & she heard a flight attendant tell the suspect, 'We're going to be fine, it's OK, we'll get you off the plane.' Another passenger, Alex Wood, said the pilot announced that 'there was a disturbance in the cockpit.' Once the plane landed, Wood said police went to the back of the aircraft & escorted a handcuffed man off the plane. He noted that the suspect 'was wearing a lanyard, a sweater' & he 'looked like an airline employee.' Alaska Airlines said the crew 'secured the aircraft without incident'. 'On Oct. 22, Alaska Airlines Flight 2059 operated by Horizon Air from Everett, WA (PAE) to San Francisco, CA (SFO) reported a credible security threat related to an authorized occupant in the flight deck jump seat,′ Alaska Airlines said. 'We are grateful for the professional handling of the situation by the Horizon flight crew & appreciate our guests' calm and patience throughout this event.' Live Air Traffic audio appears to show a pilot describing the person believed to be Emerson 'subdued' after the incident, suggesting there was a struggle. 'We've got the guy that tried to shut the engines down out of the cockpit & he doesn't sound like he's causing any issue in the back right now, I think he's subdued,' a pilot told air traffic controllers, according to audio recorded by Live ATC. 'We want law enforcement as soon as we get on the ground & parked.' Emerson was arrested by Port of Portland officials & he is described in his booking sheet as a 6 foot 1 44-year-old bald white man with blue eyes, weighing 210lbs. #crime #truecrime #crimetoks #crimejunkie #crimetiktoks #truecrimetok #crimetiktokers #crimetiktok #crimejunkies #truecrimetiktok #crimetiktoker #crimetok

Cash App founder Bob Lee, 43, was stabb3d several times in the chest in San Francisco, as he walked in the city's Rincon Hill neighbourhood at 2:35am, which is located in the Southern District, close to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Lee was ignored by passers-by, who did not help him as he bled out & collapsed to the ground. Downtown San Francisco has remained largely-deserted post-pandemic, & is now famed for open dr*g abus3 & violenc3. Father-of-two Lee relocated from San Francisco to Miami last year because he was worried about the West Coast city's soaring crime rate & rampant homelessness, according to friends. He returned on a business trip & was attacked while walking through the swish neighbourhood where residents have become so wary of viol3nt robberi3s that they now pay for private security patrols. None were close by at the time of Lee's stabbing. CCTV of Lee shows him staggering along Main Street & trying to flag down a passing car at the intersection with Harrison Street. When the motorist shockingly drives off without helping, Lee stumbles 70 yards back down Main towards the Portside luxury apartment complex - but collapses as he reaches for the door entry system. Bloodi3d & dazed, Lee was able to ring cops himself to say he'd been stabb3d but couldn't give his precise location. First responders reached the fading tech exec within 6 minutes but by then it was too late. 'The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts by first responders & medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries,' the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement. A kitchen knif3 with a 4-inch blad3 was found in a parking lot across the street, according to ABC7 News. Cops are yet to make any arrests. #crimejunkie #truecrimetiktok #crimejunkies #truecrime #crime #crimestories #crimetoks #crimetiktokers #crimetiktoker #crimestory
