Szoboszlai is a 10. Maybe not your modern playmaking and dribbling machine 10. But he performs best as a 10. A work horse type of 10. I have nothing against Wirtz but a least Szobo is a premier league champ. What has Wirtz done. How can you blame Szobo who played 30 mins when you have other players bought for + 100m that did not perform for 60 mins play. Wirtz, Isaak, Bracola are good but against who? LASK, Villareal and these guys. At leas Szobo has goals and has beaten teams like City and Arsenal. When did Writz and Isaak played a game agains City and Arsenal and they won?? At this point of view we should have never given him contract renew so that he could go as free to another club that might at least appreciate him. But than people would call him a snake. Just because you dream boys do not perform is not Szobos or Van Dijk or Alissons fault. It is you fault to approach such a market tactic to buy players for 100m and upwards that do not perform. Nunez was bough expensive he did not perform, same with Carrol, same with Naby Keita and so on. We are a club that finds gold we do not purchase them. Salah, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho, van Dijk, Alisson all came to club for under 90m for each player and they have done more than all your 100m plus players. (Except for 09 November 2025 when we played and won against city but we had szobo as 10 and wirzt on the left. That’s the only time we won against city since wirtz came)

Szoboszlai has never been a 6. He was a 10 or winger in Austria and Germany, that's where he's played his best football but ye have 85 left wingers and the German Brenden Aaronson in the 10. Stop playing him as a right back or DM and you'll get something out of him.
