I was isolated by my parents for 4 months without human connection I couldn't get out of the house and when I finally could go to school they called me weird or "too jolly" because I was desperate and forgot how to socialize

I think loneliness is a spectrum, you can be surrounded by friends and still have intense mental isolation which can feel incredibly lonely, just like someone who has no one to lean on
