I think your husband handled it well. He may not mean any harm but you value your privacy. Our elderly neighbor was actually autistic and really didn’t communicate appropriately. I can understand how you feel and believe me there were times when I didn’t answer my door. It all worked out and I’d even send him meals when I cooked extra. He did just move but it’s all fine. Your neighbor needs to be respectful. I did have to buy some window privacy to stop my neighbor from looking in my front door. It is a delicate situation. Good luck

honestly lonely or not as mean as it sounds that is not your problem. hes the town gossip so it seems like he has always been this way and yall handled it very nicely and hopefully he understands!
