@nbcnewyork: A Learjet 60 jet heading for the Bahamas crashed in Florida Sunday afternoon, killing all nine people on board, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said. Duffy called the crash a “horrific tragedy,” in a social media post adding, “Please join me in praying for the families and loved ones of those we lost.” It was not immediately clear if there were additional injuries on the ground.

The audio was absolutely heartbreaking. The poor woman screaming saying they’re out of time and you can hear the male pilot praying in the background to himself. I pray for all the families and the lives claimed.

Looked like the jet and 9 people on board turned into dust on impact! You could hear the engines as it approached … and based on the speed it came in at, that jet didn’t fall from the sky. Perhaps it was spatial disorientation on the pilot’s part? May they all RIP. And may we all realize just how fragile life is 🙏🏻

There’s an angle of the crash where the jet was pretty much nose diving into the ground. They said about 32,000 ft / minute, or about 360 mph. I’m not surprised there isn’t any identifiable wreckage around the immediate impact site
