Ever wondered why some old graves have iron cages over them? ⚰️These are known as mortsafes, and they were used in Scotland centuries ago to stop grave robbers from digging up freshly buried bodies and selling them to medical schools. But this particular grave has a darker story… It supposedly belongs to a legendary Scottish warrior named Seath Mòr Sgorfhiaclach, whose grave is said to be cursed. While most iron cages were designed to keep people OUT, local legends have led some to wonder whether this one was intended to keep something IN… 👀 History or superstition? Either way, fascinating!
