Yes girl. Especially when they said your a great assistant. You like to please and help. I said oh no I don’t please I do my job and more. But if I ask for a raise I’m ignored or in in trouble for speaking up or coming in 5 min before shift instead of 15.. time to go.

I am still a high performer but I have adopted “Your emergency doesn’t make it mine.” I kept responding and taking on everyone’s energy. Now I respond but not as emotionally. It has helped.
