@henry.hates.hiking: Comment CHECKLIST and make sure that you are ready for your next hike! This was day 3 of the Ausangate Trek in Peru with @salkantaytrekking Day 3 brought us to the highest elevation during the entire trek of 17,060 feet (5,200 meters) above sea level! Day 3 was filled with tons of alpine lakes, and some of the most insane landscapes that I have ever seen. Our lunch spot was in front of a crazy lake with a beautiful view of the snow-capped Ausangate mountain. After lunch we were caught a bit unprepared by the distance to our next camp, and we all ran out of water. No big deal, though, because we were all dogs. Our camp spot for the night was like something from a dream: a huge field in the middle of a quiet valley overlooked by giant, snowy peaks. We even had wifi for some nighttime reel scrolling.
