my mother in law did the exact same thing, left a bowl of candy for kids to come and some kids took the entire bowl. idk what’s up with kids nowadays.

I don’t understand the greed with this. Just take a couple. If you absolutely have to, take all the candy. Don’t take the bowl? These people leave it out to be nice and you’re taking advantage

a few years ago we put out a bowl with Halloween candy in it when we were ready to stop answering the door around 8pm. when we checked a bit later, someone had stolen the bowl. we were upset. not because it was an expensive bowl, but it was the Halloween candy bowl we'd been using for years and it was this nice big plastic orange bowl that held the candy perfectly. we've never been able to replace it and its such a bummer. my kids still talk about that year. but it did make for an interesting experience.

One time my brother stole a really cool chucky candy bowl 😭 I felt so bad cause it looked expensive. We still have it cause he couldn’t remember which house he got it from. 💔

I went to a house on Halloween that had no bowl but candy was littered all over the porch. What happened to etiquette??? My friends and I were taught to only take one piece per house unless the homeowner says otherwise

This happened to us last year.. I left the light off this time until after we took the littles to trick or treat then once home we handed the candy out…. … no more porch bowls full of candy !
