not childfree by choice, but i feel blessed i was never able to have kids. that said, that doesn’t mean i feel anyone else needs to feel the way i do. and i am sensitive speaking to anyone in that situation.

Also a point: Adoption shouldn't be a "last option" if you can't have kids of your own, you should adopt because you want to not because you're infertile and want children.

I cannot have children as a result of cancer and I equally am upset by both. The heartbreak you feel is indescribable and there is very few safe spaces where you can voice this heartbreak because of reactions like this. People who have children hurt my heart and people who celebrate chosing being child free also hurt me because you still have physical option to make a baby still. That is what is upsetting anyone who can physically have a baby regardless of whether you have one or not.

Her anger towards happily child-free women is bizarre. I’d expect her to be angry at abusive or neglectful mothers, not women who choose not to have children and show that life can be happy and fulfilling without them. that could even comfort women who are unable to have children.

I am child free not by choice as well (cancer took my decision away), but I am learning to find joy in other aspects of my life. I would never bash or bring down other women who are childfree by choice because everyone has their own reasons for not wanting children, and that is what makes us beautiful people. Finding other child free women out there has helped me deal with my new reality and helped me realize there is more to live for.

Childless woman here and I loveeeeeee the childfree content!! It has not only helped me see the silver linings, but it has given a voice to the feelings I didn’t understand I was having when I felt unseen and uncelebrated by some of my friends with kids.

As a woman who disparately wants kids, I will never be upset with other who wanted children and have been able to have them, I also I not mad at people who do not want kids. I am extremely angry at people who have kids and then mistreat those children
