I disagree with the slide talking about Loki's pronouns, because let's be real, MCU's writers didn't intend to consider Loki's genderfluidity at all. sure, a genderfluid person using he/him pronouns doesn't make them not genderfluid, but in this case MCU Loki is just not portrayed as genderfluid at all🤷🏻

i thought we all talked about how loki was so she/her in that first movie because of how relatable he was to other queer/afab/feminine people, especially with how many of us struggle with one of our parents favouring one of our other siblings for basically being the "right way" while "there must be something fundamentally wrong with me" etc NOT BECAUSE SHE LOOKED PRETTY THERE, WHAT ON EARTH, HOW DID I MISS THAT?? 😭😭😭

slide 10, most ppl aren't saying that scotts racist, but that the writers and directors are for allowing that line and gag to be added during a time where they have yeg to establish sam as cap in the audiences eyes well. no one ACTUALLY blames scott, js the poor treatment of POC and minorities in the MCU.

I agree with all of these, ESPECIALLY slide 10 and 23. People have to understand that Loki has been alive for over 1000 years, and the movies he is in only take place over a tiny fraction of that. Him using he/him during that time doesn’t mean it hasn’t changed a lot in the rest of his life

God, I love Sylvie so much. I can't believe people don't like her because of Sylki. Like, it's understandable why people wouldn't like that ship, but it's not incest. I saw people call it that, but it's just selfcest. Which isn't new or unheard of. And Sylki does make sense, but I still just don't care about the ship that much.

I think people were more upset about the Ant-Man slip-up (calling Steve Cap) being about the lack of respect Marvel as a whole has had toward Sam Wilson/anothoy mackie as cap. Overall marvel has failed to really establish him as Cap since in the 5 years where he officially took the mantle in tfatws, he hasn’t shown up or was even mentioned before Brave New World. While in the same 5 year span Steve had his whole trilogy come out and appear in 3 other films in between. That joke also fed into the really problematic side of the fandom where people who refuse to accept Sam as Cap, justify their bigoted takes by saying “see even marvel knows who the real cap is”.
