@itsalexmars: I went into Remi Wolf’s “Mud” knowing pretty much one song, “Soup.” Three weeks later, it’s become one of my most-played albums of the month, and I’m wondering why it took me so long to get into her music. What I love most about this album is how Remi turns heartbreak, drinking, and some deeply uncomfortable emotions into songs that are almost impossible to stop listening to. The melodies are infectious, but it’s her voice and the way she delivers these lyrics that really make the album special. “Bottle” and “Champagne” hooked me immediately, but “Twiggy” and especially “Jamie” have become two of my favorite songs. The vocal performance on “Jamie” is one of the most moving things I’ve heard all year. If you’ve only listened to the singles from MUD, please do yourself a favor and listen to “Jamie.” What’s your favorite song on the album? #RemiWolf #newmusic #AlbumReview #PopMusic #MusicReview @remiwolf
