@georgialeann: Here’s me doing what I loved, completely unaware that one trampoline accident would change my life forever. 💔 I never imagined that something I loved doing would be the last time I’d do it without a second thought. One injury turned into a life I never asked for. CRPS, fibromyalgia and chronic pain have taken so much more than just my ability to tumble. They’ve taken my freedom, independence, confidence and the little things I once took for granted. I went from throwing myself around, being active and enjoying life to having to think twice about standing up, walking, getting out of bed or even having a duvet touch my leg. People see the videos and remember the girl doing backflips. They don’t see the pain, the flares, the tears, the medication, the mobility aids or the battles that happen behind closed doors. I miss that girl more than words can explain. I miss feeling like my body belonged to me. Chronic illness doesn’t just change your body. It changes your entire life, and sometimes you’re left grieving a version of yourself that you never thought you’d lose.
