@momdaystudio: If you’re experiencing lower back pain that feels worse on one side, sometimes radiating into your glutes, hips, or groin, your SI joint could be contributing to the discomfort. During pregnancy, hormonal changes increase ligament laxity around the pelvis. Combine this with your growing belly, changes in posture, and increased demand on your deep core, glutes, and pelvic stabilizers, and your SI joints can become more sensitive to movement and loading. You might notice pain when: ✔️ Walking or standing on one leg ✔️ Rolling over in bed ✔️ Getting up from sitting ✔️ Climbing stairs ✔️ Shifting your weight from side to side More stretching isn’t always the answer. Improving hip mobility, deep core coordination, and muscular stability can help your pelvis manage the changing demands of pregnancy. Move slowly, stay within a comfortable range, and avoid exercises that reproduce sharp pain. If symptoms persist or worsen, a pelvic floor physical therapist can help identify the cause. Lily :
For me it’s my tailbone. It feels like a nerve or something is being pulled when I’m moving around, bending over or have been sitting awkwardly for a while. Happened with my first pregnancy too for most of the second trimester.
