@mikaylanogueira: Christmas has been my favorite holiday for my entire life… it’s something I greatly look forward to every year. But the last five years Christmas was always a dark time filled with the heavy weight of battling addiction and everything that comes along with that. Christmas became something I slowly no longer looked forward to.. because I knew that around this time every year, darkness was around the corner. Relapses and mental lows are common around the holidays for addicts and I witnessed it every year. This year I finally have no weight on my shoulders. The first Christmas in a while where I can breathe knowing everything is okay.
