Such an emotional conflict, the man who genuinely loved and was kind to her versus the aberration that now feels horrifyingly impossible. She must remember that she is a victim of his deception and had no responsibility growing up to discern the truth. Stay anonymous if you can. His crimes should not be a defining you the rest of your life.

As someone in the relational trauma and an IFS fan, holding the complexities of a personality can be really hard. The same person could be fantastic in some areas of their life and awful in others. Granted, not usually so extreme, but it's ultimately more peaceful, in my experience, to reach a place where we can hold all parts of someone as real; not just one aspect of them. It's hard and there's absolutely grief involved, amongst everything else, but you don't have to throw away one part in order to accept another

That poor girl 💔 The trauma of losing a parent and then learning that potentially her father was doing dastardly deeds. Add to that, she may have lost her mother in the mix. Please look into therapy. Talking may help you.
