@lotsacakes: Best caramel filling for your cakes and cupcakes in my opinion! Obviously other than homemade which, if you know how to make awesome, I don’t really, so I use store-bought and this one is so delicious! #cakefilling #customcake #birthdaycake #homebaker #caramel
i like ms. Richardsons! it's not too runny even after warming it and it tastes great! not sure if it has corn syrup

I used to make English Fudge, and honestly, it takes a handmixer to get it just right! 🥰
Anyway for the cake, I use Nestlé La Lechera Dulce de Leche with a little heavy cream and vanilla. I beat everything together until I get the consistency I like.
The Kroger brand is just a little too runny for my liking. I prefer mine thicker and creamier! 😍💕

How do you decide how to price your cakes? I have a hard time charging appropriately in general as I'm just starting out the business part of my baking and scared to over charge but im barely breaking even.

With your marble cake. Do you mix your vanilla cake and your chocolate cake recipe together? Or do you add cocoa powder or melted chocolate in your vanilla cake batter, for a marble cake?

1. trader joe’s salted caramel is the best & 2. your caramel gets crystallized bc of agitation. don’t scrape/scratch the pan or stir too much

I’m the same way, I find it tricky to make the caramel itself, but when I need one in a pinch I found a local bouquet that sells a really good salted caramel, expensive but worth it

Caramel buttercream rather than straight up caramel seems like the most logical filling.
