A middle school teacher has been placed on administrative leave after a video allegedly showing him urinating inside a classroom surfaced online. The educator, who works at Granite Oaks Middle School in Rocklin near Sacramento, California, was reportedly filmed discreetly relieving himself into a container while inside his classroom. The footage was secretly recorded on a student’s cellphone and later shared online. In the clip, a man believed to be the teacher appears to unbutton his pants and urinate into a container positioned out of the camera’s view. After finishing, he is seen fastening his clothing and adjusting his shirt before preparing for students to return. According to reports, the teacher can be heard saying phrases such as “gosh, that’s good” several times, followed by “love it, love it,” while walking across the room carrying the container. Once out of frame, sounds suggest the liquid may have been emptied. The bell reportedly rings roughly a minute later, and students can be heard entering the classroom, whispering and laughing as the video ends. Officials say there is no indication that students were present in the room during the incident itself. Students have since identified the teacher in local reports as Dan Champ, an eighth-grade history teacher and adviser to the school’s Associated Student Body. Records from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing indicate he has worked in education for more than two decades. School administrators were reportedly alerted to the video after a concerned parent brought it to their attention. Families at Granite Oaks Middle School later received a message informing them that a staff member had been placed on leave while the situation is investigated. In the email sent to parents, school officials wrote that they had been made aware of a video involving an employee engaging in behavior that did not meet the district’s professional standards.#fyp #viral
