@charliedesi: #senseandsensibility 2026 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Also what's up with movies, filming everything in the damn dark? I couldn't even see the actor's expressions on their faces. I want my money back.
Alan Rickman is MY Colonel Brandon. I can’t see anyone else in that role.

Thank you!! The only adaptation that was worse was the Dakota Johnson version of Persuasion.

Agree. It was awful. I spent the whole film thinking “Brush. Your. Hair.”

I agree. I went to a matinee showing and immediately came home after to rewatch the 1995 version just to rinse my experience!!!

I haven’t seen it, but why are so many movies soooo dark lately??? Is lighting THAT expensive??

They came from money!!!! They should have been dressed in colorful silks. No women of the Regency period wore their hair down. Made me mental.

What was with the dancing?! It was trying to be avant-garde or something, with the short, dramatic, dark shots. So much overacting, it was painful and distracting!

Thanks for the honest review! I’ll avoid it for sure. I don’t know why everything has to be so ugly these days. I enjoyed your presentation.

As a lifelong Jane Austen fan, I remember watching Emma Thompson's version & midway thinking "This is pure perfection". Thank you for this warning. Sounds Ms. Austen would not be amused.
