POS Renault engine, I had one, and regretted it because of that 2.3L diesel, went ok until you wanted to tow anything.

Interestingly this engine is fitted to Renault and Mercedes in other markets. Wonder if they’re also facing similar failures.

The owner has given you the wrong information. He was the one telling Nissan that all it needed was a sensor and nissan were telling him after testing and contacting Nissan tech support it needed a motor. knocked him back on warranty due to engine software tuning, dpf and EGR deletes and a lack of service history with Nissan genuine parts. Just thought I’d clear that up so the story is straight. Not having a go at anyone. But yeah that’s why he “wasn’t happy with the outcome come” 😂

I hear so much about np300 having problems, and I know they do, but I'm been extremely lucky I'm nearly at 290xxx and the only problem I've had since I've owned it, is the coolant recirculating valve.

Honestly is there any current vechile = to a np300 in size without problems ? Toyota no , d max no , ranger no , they all have issues , why because they are cutting corners and constantly trying to meet pollution laws .

Seen this about 3 times now, bolts falling out of the timing chain guides, and going through timing gears for oil pump, two 2019 np300 and one 2020, all at 100000kms

Early zd common rail used to drop the countersunk screws of the oil pump cover with similar gratitude.
