wax grows naturally on apples but they wash the apples due to health code and they re add a layer of wax because then they can't store the fruit if there is no wax

Hope it’s not long but apples naturally has wax so it can stay good but since they have to wash it it comes of so they add it back with wax

evil ass alien cat :

it's for germs not to get onto the apples and spoil it, the wax naturally grows but they wash it off and put it with their own wax to make it not get spoiled.

. :

wax grows naturally on apples to prevent bacteria from infecting the products, however once they are picked the wax is no longer as effective since its no longer connected to the trees. This leads to the government having apples produced, washed of the original naturally grown wax and replaced with a wax they make with the purpose of extending the amount of time an apple won't rot for.
