A California couple faces murd3r charges in the f3ntanyl pois0ning d3ath of their infant daughter, whose body was found d3ad on a bed & covered by a rug in their dr*g-littered home. Derek Rayo, 27 & Kelly Richardson, 28, have been charged in the d3ath of 18-month-old Winter Rayo. Outside court on Monday, prosecutors castigated the alleged drug-using mother. Police made the disturbing discovery just before midnight on Aug. 12. San Jose police responded to the home after Rayo called 911, saying his daughter was not conscious & not breathing on his bed. Rayo said he did not know what happened & that he & Richardson had, his girlfriend, were alone in the home. San Jose Fire & EMS arrived at the home before police & found Winter lying on a bed in the master bedroom covered with a rug. The baby was declared d3ad, showing “full rigor mortis, lividity, fixed/dilated pupils & blue lips,”. She had been d3ad for about 12 hours. A blood toxicology report showed she had a f3ntanyl blood concentration of 74 ng/ml, the medical examiner reported that 3 ng/ml of f3ntanyl blood concentration is lethal. The couple & the victim had gone to bed at about 2 a.m. At about 1 p.m., Kelly Richardson said she woke up to see Derek Rayo on the victim’s legs. She woke him up & told him to get off the victim. Derek Rayo woke up & saw that the victim was not conscious or breathing. His daughter’s lips were blue, she was limp & he believed she had di3d. The couple admitted to not calling 911 for about 10 hours. They were “in denial & wanted to grieve together before police arrived to separate them,”. Blood samples taken from the parents the day the baby was found d3ad showed both were positive for “f3ntanyl, norf3ntanyl (metabolite of f3ntanyl), amph3tamine & methamph3tamine.” During a search of the home, investigators found a white chunky powder on the nightstand of the master bedroom, a scraping tool with residue on a desk & another scraping tool with residue on a rug under the baby’s body. The white powder & both scraping tools were later tested positive for f3ntanyl. Investigators found additional dr*g paraphernalia in the master bedroom & garage. Detectives said they found text messages, social media messages, photos & videos showing the couple “recklessly smoking narcotics” while holding their baby & in the presence of the infant. They also texted their roommate, a purported dr*g dealer, asking him to deliver & leave narcotics in open & unsecured spots in the house. At the time of his arrest, Rayo, who admitted to being a heavy narcotics user in the past, including methamph3tamine, her0in & f3ntanyl, had already been in custody for an unrelated warrant. He was served with a homicid3 warrant on Nov. 21. Richardson was arrested the next day. Both defendants are expected to enter pleas at a hearing on Jan. 3. #truecrime #crimetiktok #crimejunkie #crimejunkies #truecrimetiktok #crimetok #crime

Poppi Worthington who was 13-months-old when she di3d after suffering serious injuries at her home in Barrow, Uk on December 12th 2012. On the morning of December 12, emergency services rushed to the home of a Barrow family after their daughter was found ‘limp’ & ‘not breathing’. A team of 10 medics from Furness General Hospital carried out CPR on the little girl for almost an hour to try to revive her but were unsuccessful. Poppi suffocat3d at the family home in Barrow as she slept next to her father in an "unsafe sleeping environment". She was also found to have suffered a broken leg some months before she di3d for which she received no medical treatment. In 2016, High Court judge Mr Justice Jackson ruled that Poppi's father Paul Worthington had SA her shortly before she di3d. The first inquest, 2014, heard no evidence over its 7 minute course & was later overturned by the High Court. Another inquest in November 2017 was to find out once and for all how she di3d. Failures in the police investigation into Poppi’s d3ath meant no criminal charge could be brought against Mr Worthington despite 2 coroners ruling that he SA her just before her death. Mr Worthington denied any wrongdoing regarding Poppi's d3ath & has never been charged with any offence. Poppi was not known to social services before she di3d at home, despite her mother having previously had a long history of contact with children’s services, including having a previous child taken into permanent care & past allegations of CA made against Poppi’s father. Poppi’s case came to light when it emerged a police investigation into her death had been botched and council bosses had spent £12,000 attempting to gain a media gagging order through the High Court to prevent details of her death from becoming public. Former Barrow MP, John Woodcock, proposed ‘Poppi’s law’ so that social workers & health visitors are given information about a family's history in order to make more informed decisions about the level of protection to give children born into families with a history of vulnerability. #Justice4poppi #crime #truecrime #truecrimetiktok #crimejunkie #crimestories #crimestory #crimetoks #crimejunkies #crimetiktok
