@parishconnect: Catholic exorcists warn that modern Halloween celebrations risk glorifying evil. Catholic exorcists are urging the faithful to examine how Halloween is celebrated. The International Association of Exorcists, co-founded by the late Fr. Gabriele Amorth, warns that today's version is closely connected to witchcraft and satanism. AIE vice president Fr. Francesco Bamonte says the modern celebration "proposes dark themes such as murderous violence, the mockery of death, the occult, witchcraft, and the demonic." He notes it is treated as a peak feast by some neo-pagan and satanic groups. Fr. Amorth called celebrating Halloween the equivalent of singing "hosannas to the devil." Fr. Robert Joel Cruz, who trained under Amorth, warned that demonic costumes are a form of ritual that glorifies Satan and can open a person to spiritual harm. "I know of many cases of people who get possessed by doing just that," he said, while supporting children dressing as saints for All Hallows' Eve. The consistent advice is to avoid mocking death or treating the demonic as entertainment, and instead reclaim October 31 as the vigil of All Saints through prayer, saint-themed gatherings, and Eucharistic adoration. #Halloween #CatholicExorcists #AllSaints #SpiritualWarfare #ParishConnect
